The article Hip-Hop Is No Longer Cooler Than Me by Paul Kix is a very powerful piece about hip-hop and how the music has changed over the periods of time. This is an outstanding article and Kix’s bravery and courage to talk about this subject really caught my attention. Kix’s goal in writing Hip-Hop Is No Longer Cooler Than Me was to inform people how much hip-hop has changed and how embarrassing it is to call the music we listen to hip-hop. Hip-hop is no longer cool in his eyes.

This showed he probably knew something about the hip-hop industry. Also Kix had no problem saying Soulja Boy is not the only one who’s lacking creativity and the bravery of him saying these things about artist amuses me. Foremost, Kix had an interesting voice/tone too. Kix was being sarcastic throughout most of his article. As Kix talked about Soulja Boy’s rhymes he followed by saying “And the chorus! My God, the chorus” (166) in a sarcastic
