“Hip Hop and Rap that is where my heart is at.” Rappers today are not making the music we need to listen too, lately they are making songs that have no meaning. They are not spitting the truth, but that is not even the worst part they are not even saying words anymore. They only have a hard dope beat to trick mainstream people like you to make you think you like that. We have some unlyrical, untalented, and unskillful rappers in the game today. Many rappers have forgotten the Hip Hop and Rap culture. Their are some rappers that rap about life and the type of music we need but I consider them “Artist.” Rappers should make songs that people can relate too, songs that bring meaning to life, and make us feel unique and invincible. The lyrics rappers today are writing are awful and dreadful. Compared to 90’s music lyrics were prominent and outstanding. Tupac Shakur the greatest of all time stated this in one of his songs “We gotta make a change. It’s time for us as a people to start making some changes. Let's change the way we eat, the way we live, and the way we treat each other. You see the old way wasn't working so it's on us, to do what we gotta to do to survive.” The rapper Tupac gave us advice and pointed out messages about life throughout his music. Rappers today are writing lyrics that do not make any sense and have no meaning. For example, the rapper Future wrote this in his song “When you wake up before you brush your teeth, You grab your strap ni**a Only time you get down on your knees ni**a, Shooting crabs ni**a.” It is hard to listen to music these days if lyrics like this have no meaning or anything that connects to us. Rappers should improve their lyrics and speak more about
