Could Hiroshima Have Benn Avoided?

During world war II, Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, which resulted in a lot of casualties. Pearly Harbor was bombed by Japan on December 7, 1941. When Pearl Harbor was struck in 1941, there were 2,403 people that died. The U.S. decided to strike back, with a series of bombings on Japan. The most well knows bombing of Japan by the United States, is the bombing of Hiroshima. This was a big event in history because there were a lot of people that dies because of the bomb. There was a total of 146,000 casualties in Japan, when the United States dropped the bomb on Hiroshima.
In Document 2, stated by Admiral William E. Leahy, President Truman’s Chief of Staff, in his memoirs “I
