What does the government have to offer? Would you rather have a government whose focus was directly for the development of its people or directly focused on the business growth of its country? In today’s time a Democratic government is far more necessary than a Republican government, being that Democrats support the community. The Democrats are very supportive of ones needs; Democratic government in the United States tends to the needs of its people: by providing healthcare, food stamps along with many other things, whereas the Republican government is ‘pro business.’ They do not believe in proving any form of government assistance, or supporting gay rights. They also feel that taxes shouldn’t be raised. However, in order to enhance the government I think politicians should be very stable, be representatives as well as be transparent. As citizens of the US, we should have efficacy, and participate. Once they go into effect, there will be a drastic change in the government. A stable political government system is “one that survives through crises, without internal warfare,” which means that the government can solve any conflict without violence. They are willing to do anything as long as the people of America are safe. An example of government stability is the fact that they provide low income families with welfare. In order to be able to support their families, parents can put food on the table for their children and still be able to provide some type of clothing for their children as well. Although the Democratic government supports the people, they do not do it often enough. For instance, we do not have universal healthcare when we should, for there are people struggling in other places who also need the same assistance that people in the States are getting. It could be helping and or negatively impacting the economic growth because economic growth is the production of goods and services produced per head of the population over a period of time. With a Democratic government it allows low income families to buy these products but this type of hand out doesn’t increase the creativity needed to create new goods and inventions.
To the Republican Party, welfare is not the ideal way of helping the economy grow. They have this ideology that people should work for what they want and therefore be better off and be able to support themselves. Being that; a lot of people especially women get a lot of assistance from the government due to the fact that they have children to care for. They are also paid less than men. They are offered health care, food stamps, along with section eight housing, while they really don’t deserve it. However, there are other people who are really in need, and do not have this opportunity to get help from the government. (http://www.diffen.com/difference/Democrat_vs_Republican) The Democratic government helps the people make a better living. Meanwhile the Republican government would rather people work for what they want. Hence, the reasons why they do not provide any type of government assistance, whereas the Democratic Party does. A representative is chosen by the people who we think would best represent our state. It is important that we pick someone who would represent our state well. For example, Jim Himes is the representative of Connecticut. He won majority of his votes, due to the fact that he had an outstanding mission statement. (http://himes.house.gov/issue/foreign-affairs-and-defense) He stood up for many different thing such as; health care, immigration, education, economy and jobs, along with other major issues. Where he found many ways to help the residents of Connecticut, Jim Himes’ opponent, Dan Debicella believes Himes was against the people and for the government.
Debicella believes that the money made in Connecticut should be distributed in a way that is for the people, and it is not his duty to dish out government funded
