My video was about the Hitler youth’s wing for girl, the BDM. Since this subject takes place before and during the Second World War, my secondary 4 history class helped me get a base about why, when and how the war happened. Knowing that, it was easier to understand the purpose of my subject. In English class, we read the book Sophie Scholl and the White Rose, since she was herself in the BDM, it helped me understand why girls chose and enjoyed the young girls league. I also learned a lot about what was going on in Germany during the war and about Hitler’s propaganda. It was useful to me because I was able to explain the Hitler youth’s impact afterwards, in my video. We also read the book Animal Farm, in which I learned about the installation of a totalitarian regime and the methods used to do so. I used this knowledge to create my video because the Hitler youth was a method used by Hitler to gain power within the population. …show more content…
It was important that they were short and dynamic to keep the viewer’s attention. I learned this while doing it, I wrote them and then read them out loud to be sure they were entertaining. I also learned a lot of new informations about BDM while doing my research. I got to know about its activities, organization, purpose and criteria of admission, all things I didn’t know about before starting this project. I learned to try new things like Explain Everything, but also knowing what my strengths were and using them to make the best video possible, that’s why we chose to work with
