I believe that owning a cat has a wide range of advantages and disadvantages. Felines have and carry harmful parasites that pose risk to the owners. Cats are not very vocal animals unlike digs can be, which is a good thing when company is over. Another disadvantage would be the time and care need to be spent on the cat to prevent shedding. Shedding is a bad result for cats with hair sticking to any fabric it can, and not very easy to get up. Or having to deal with the smell of their litter box if not being cleaned after the cats gone.

Harmful parasites affect owners and many times the whole family. With cats having parasites in their stool which is having to be cleaned by the owner, without having washing your hands thoroughly or Simply wearing gloves will reduce the risk. Fleas are the biggest burden and the easy for owners and potential other pets. Leaving larvae in the carpet or wherever they can lay their eggs and produce. Cats also pose a threat with ringworms and affect their owners when coming into contact or playing with the cat. When an owner is removing a tick from their cat, if not careful you might leave the head of the tick still attached to the cat, which can result in the death of your cat.

The advantages of having cats are that they are good pets for finding mice or any other insect in the house that may have gotten in. Felines also have a curiosity to them that makes them fun to play around with or sit and watch. It’s like that have a 6th sense knowing when their owner is upset or happens to be sick which can be good company when sick and home.
