Fifty – five percent of phone users use their phone while driving, and texting and driving is proven to be six times more dangerous than driving drunk. I fall into that fifty-five percent more often than not, however I am not addicted to my phone. It wouldn’t be a problem for me to leave my phone off for a few days if I had to, but I would much prefer to have it in my pocket or hand. Problems in our world are just so different than the problems Deo and the people in other parts of the world. Things we consider big problems like our phone dying halfway through the day and not getting a good Wi-Fi signal seem like the petty things compared to the kids in Africa that don’t where their next meal is coming from or if they have a place to sleep the …show more content…
Not once in a day do I every think about how lucky I am to be able to go home to a warm house on a cold day or even a cold house on a hot day. Homelessness is a problem even in America. Thousands of people in our country spend every day in the harshness of the weather when others go home to houses way too big for their families or even just themselves. People every day in America that go home to houses that they can’t fill all the space in the house while some people sleep outside those houses because they don’t have money to rent or buy a place to live. Instead of noticing that this is a problem and maybe offering that these people stay in an extra room in the house that is way too big for them, people just ignore the homeless on the streets. We are trained to ignore those people because they might be drug addicts that waste all their money on drugs instead of giving them a chance to do something with their life. I am as guilty of this as anyone. I go home every day to a house that is oversized for my family, and I don’t think about how we could use the extra space in our house to bless someone that doesn’t have the shelter that they need. Also, when I am in a big city or even in a little city when I pass a homeless person I just ignore them because that is what we are trained to do even though, I could help them with money, food, or even
