It seems strange to me that there are still people who consider themselves superior enough to judge other human beings by the color of their skin or their background. However, the most important value of a person is their heart and it has nothing to do with their color or physical features. Therefore, instead of us prejudging each other with a lack of knowledge, why don’t we punch the sun into pieces and give them a portion for our wrongdoing? On August 28, 1963, a great man once said, “ I have a dream that one day my four little children will live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character, (MLK)." Years later, that dream is still the hope of those who restlessly fight against prejudice. For the most part, we tend to think of prejudice in terms of race, culture, or religion, but the word has much deeper meaning than just the dislike of people. I’ve always been a prejudice toward homosexuality. Moreover, I never wanted to socialize or be at their present whatsoever, because I believed God created men and women to comfort one another. Admittedly, homosexuality is just a human creation, it is not the masterpiece of God’s work, no disrespect intended. In spite of all that, I had my reality checked when I was assigned to work on a project with a homosexual person. At that moment, I wished my soul had left my body, because there was no way I was going to collaborate with someone who’s persona was different from mine. Sadly, I did not want to cause an earthquake by my thoughts, so therefore, I kept it to myself. With that being said, it was one of the best choices I ever made by any means necessary. I saw something in that kid that was more than just an image: a loving heart, a funny person, a humbling soul, a bright mind, and most importantly, a person whom I’ am proud to call my best
