National Honor Society is an organization that is made up of remarkable students all across the United States that strive to improve the lives around them. I am very honored to be one of the few students to be considered for National Honor Society. I know that this program has tremendous effects on the community and I would love to be a part of this. National Honor Society takes an individual who is willing to be a leader and a pronounced role model. I believe I qualify for these characteristics. I’m willing to give up my time to help others and to be one that someone looks up to. I know the students in National Honor Society are some of the top students in the nation and I strive everyday to resemble them everyday.
To be in National Honor Society you have to be a leader. With the leadership qualities demonstrated by the current National Honor Society members, along with myself, we can accomplish many outstanding things. Another main goal I have is to influence more people to become a better person. I would love to mentor students and tutor them in any subject they need help with. Our school has tremendous programs and excellent courses, however, the grades are not where they should be. As a potential member of National Honor Society, I believe organizing a free tutor program for students would help boost the academic quality in our school. Not only should this program aid students in their core subjects, but preparing students for crucial tests such as the ACT, and standardized tests required for graduation. The members of National Honor Society are intelligent enough to tutor students in their subject of choice, making it a great idea. With this, the students at Washington High School will become smarter, and become more determined to strive for
