I am honored to be invited to be one of the students considered to be a member of the National Honors Society. Ever since I learned of this program, I have always wanted to a part of the things that it does for our school and community. I believe myself to be deserving of this honor and opportunity because of all the hard work I have done to get me to this point. With membership in the National Honors Society Program, I can help our community to be a better place.
Not only has the National Honors Society been known to look for students with exemplary leadership and character, they also look for scholastic achievement as well. I already possess the quality of scholarship. I have reached the top of my class with a 3.97 GPA while also participating in many extracurricular activities. I have and plan to take many advanced or college courses during high school. I believe I consistently make positive contributions in the scholastic pillar and always strive to do better. Collaboration with other students, in my opinion, is a great thing as long as others put in the work they are required of. This helps the whole team rather than making it easier on the one person. This philosophy has guided me through life. Because of it, I have strived to always be of service to others. I have helped many groups of people and organizations to complete tasks from card making for the Care Center, to raking leaves for family friends. I would say that I have made positive contributions to the community, but I always want to do better and more for people. Because of this, I plan to tutor other students and help out at the Ronald McDonald House in the near future. Making this positive influence has really helped me to not only feel better about myself, but have a better understanding of others around
