During the Super Bowl, companies will pay millions of dollars to spark conversation about their product. Yet conversing over a two dollar sticker has the power to destroy relationships, or even worse permit the taking of an innocent life. They are two teams per say, one team is pro-life, the other is pro-choice. These teams play on behalf of human life, more specifically lives that can not defend themselves. Dr. Seuss is synonymous for having hidden or alternative meanings throughout his children stories. The novel Horton Hears a Who is about a protagonist named Horton, finding the city of Whoville on a flower one day. The color of the background is a pink or fuchsia, and the coloring itself is known to invoke feelings of love or passion. The color pink is typically seen as a softer or not as harsh while being a color that is associated with females thus giving a motherly feeling. Our eye is naturally drawn to the center of the image, which is Horton’s face. There is significance in the face he’s making as well and it is a face of concern, almost a worrisome. His eyes are focused on the flower which he’s holding above his head. This hints to almost a pedestal position that Whoville holds. To top it all off the words at the bottom of the picture very clearly support the side that a person of pro-life would support. Transitioning into the what the picture is trying to get to across we can start with the feeling that hits at first glance. At first glance, before the picture even tries to get its point across, it conveys a sense of care and love. This put the viewer in a motherly mindset. Next the face and positioning of the trunk holding Whoville. This is supposed to correlate to how something so small, innocent, and defenseless should be handled. What is trying to get across is that we should treat the small, defenseless things we can see the same way we treat small, defenseless things we can not see. This point is pushed a bit harder when your eyes move downward and read the last
