Economics is the social science that deals the production and consumption of goods and services and the analysis of the commercial activities of a society (Houghton Mifflin Company, 2009). In the current world of rationed care and economic rationalism, Euthanasia’s availability is seen as cheaper, easier, rational choice on providing intensive support, and care for the most vulnerable (Wallace, 2013). Euthanasia refers to mercy killing of someone’s life to avert a painful death. It’s been a major discussion argues that Euthanasia has a selection of benefits. However many group of people disagrees and feel that it is inhumane and absurd (Daniel, 2011).

Thousands of Americans in the U.S. doesn’t have medical insurance. Studies have shown the public who are in low socioeconomic background generally are not given access to available pain control. Health physicians are offered cash bonuses by their managed-care facilities if they don’t offer care to patients. Through greater emphasis on the managed care units, many doctors will be in financial risk if they do offer treatment to the patients. Legalizing Euthanasia increases dangerous situation in which doctors are better off financially if a seriously ill patient decided to die rather than having a long-term care (Safi, 2014). Consideration should take part on the government’s savings, by cutting off funds for paying treatments and care and replace them the “treatment” of death. In Canada, less expensive practical nurses replaces registered nurses and patients are forced to long waits for many types of surgery. Due to lack of funding that have not been available for homecare of the sick and the elderly, hospital stays shortened to avoid expensive payments (Safi, 2014). Due to increase of ageing population, euthanasia is seen as an alternative for cost reduction. Nevertheless, the public should be informed on the matter before assisted suicide is made
