Nash, Ashley: Have you ever wondered why Espernaza left Mango Street and who inspired her to leave? even though there were a ton of things that that happened in Mango Street such as men abusing women and women inequality, the house on Mango Street seem to be the best house that they had lived in because the owned it and they did not have to rent from it or share the yeard with other people. There were certain people that had inspired her to escape the monstrocity and become a new person. She now knows that men are most likely going to abuse their wive and their kids and not care about what they think. Esperanza wants to leave Mango Street before she goes through the same thing that Minerva has to go through. Therefor, another person that had a huge impact on Esperanza LEaving and being able to depend on her self was Minerva. There could have been hundreds of reasons why Esperanza left Mango Street; men abusing theit wives, getting married at a young age, and people treating you different because the kind of house you live in. There are tons of people that had helped Esperanza relize that she should leave Mango street.
