The Great Gatsby
The novel, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, explains that money cannot buy everything. Everybody should care about this topic since it is true for everyone because money can leave people empty and alone. It is important because if people chase money their whole lives, they miss out on the good things in life such as family, friends, and love. This book shows that money can’t buy everything.
Gatsby attempts to tell Tom that Daisy doesn’t love him since Gatsby is rich now. Evidence from the story that shows that is when Gatsby says “Daisy doesn’t love you.” Since he is rich now, he thinks that Daisy would love him. Just because Gatsby is rich, it doesn’t mean that he could win Daisy over.
Being rich doesn’t let you do
