How Did Beethoven Contribute To Adulthood

On December 16th 1770 Ludwig Van Beethoven was born in Bonn, Germany. Beethoven had seven siblings. Out of the seven siblings he had three Sisters named Maria Margarita Van Beethoven, Anna Maria Francisca Van Beethoven, and Ludwig Maria Van Beethoven. Four brothers named Kaspar Anton Van Beethoven, Johann Peter Anton Leym, Nikolaus Johann Van Beethoven, and Franz Georg Van Beethoven. But only two bothers made it to adulthood. Beethoven’s Father was Johann Van Beethoven. Johann was a very talented German musician at the court of Bonn and very known as a drinker. Beethoven’s Mother was Maria Magdalena Keverich which was a stay home mother which Beethoven referred to as his “Best Friend”.

Beethoven’s father would practice with him everyday and night. Neighbors would say they heard Beethoven crying while he was playing and as he reached for the keys if he was unsure or made a mistake he would be hit or beaten by his father. At times when Beethoven was young his father will wake him in the night to perform in front of his father’s drinking friends. By the age of 7 ½ years old Beethoven was already performing. On March 26th 1778 Beethoven performed in front of people at Cologne. Beethoven’s father had said that Beethoven was 6 years old just as Mozart was 6 years old when he performed in Empress Maria Theresia, ever since then Beethoven thought he was younger than he really was.
