Columbus was a man who started a legacy and found the Americas in 1492. He found the Americas for Spain and allowed for more exploration. He also started the Columbian exchange which was a big part of his legacy; both worlds profited a lot from the legacy. That profitable legacy also led up to the world there is today. Columbus himself did many positive things in his lifetime, like connecting the two very separate worlds with his voyages in 1492. That connection was the start of his legacy which led to the world there is today.
Columbus was a significant man as he served the Americas and Spain well, and he linked the two worlds, one of the most important links in history. It is stated Columbus massacred the Taino, but there’s no plausible evidence that he did, that was a part of his legacy some may say. He linked the two worlds and started the great Columbian Exchange. The two lands had a strong link and a trading connection that lasted centuries continuing today. Thus, Columbus was not a negative man in history it’s just that Spaniards saw what Columbus did in the wrong way and started a conflicting connection with the Americas and Spain. They both had a strong trading link and whereas a ,“wrongly waging cruel and bloody wars.”(Las Casas 1542).
