Emily Dickinson was born on the tenth of December 1830, in Amherst, Massachusetts. Her father Edward Dickinson and her mother Emily Norcross Dickinson where two of the very few individuals who came in contact with Emily on a daily basis due to her isolating herself from the outside world most of the time. The people that she did come in contact with however had a very large impact on the poetry therefore affecting her work greatly. Charles Wadsworth whom Emily met on a trip to Philadelphia. A short visit to her home and he was gone which people believe to be the cause of her more heart breaking works of poetry. As the 1860’s rolled around Emily lived in almost complete isolation from the outside world and only came in contact and interacted
