George Boole George Boole grew up to be an extraordinary person, still remembered today. He was born in Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England on November 2, 1815. George went to a school that didn’t have high levels of education, so his caring dad (who was a shopkeeper) helped George with schoolwork. George learned a lot from his dad but math stood out to him the most. George was a very smart kid; in fact he taught himself how to speak Latin. He even translated a book called An Ode of Horace into English at the age of 12!
