Harriet Tubman is a woman of color who fought for what she believed was right. Her acts of saving slaves and fighting for equality for African Americans brings freedom for our present day. In 1850s, she traveled through the Underground Railroad to free herself, her family, and hundreds of slaves to bring them to the North for safety.
