We have all heard of Newton and his laws of motion, but who exactly was Isaac Newton? Isaac Newton was a physicist and a mathematician during the Scientific Revolution. The Scientific Revolution was when science arose to change the traditional beliefs and thoughts amongst people. During this time period many of the believes that people had came from the bible. New ideas in math, physics, astronomy, biology, and chemistry during the early modern period (1550-1700) helped changed the views of many. Isaac Newton was a key factor in this revolution.
Since the very beginning, Newton was unique. His birth date, depending on the type of calendar you use, is either January 4 or December 25, 1642. He was born in Woolsthorpe, England to Hannah Ayscough

They are as follow: 1. A stationary body will stay stationary unless an external force is applied to it. 2. Force is equal to mass times acceleration, and a change in motion is proportional to the force applied. 3. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
Newton's first law is also known as the law of inertia. This law explains that things that are in motion will continue being in motion and things that are at rest will continue being at rest unless acted upon by another force. Motion cannot change without an unbalanced force acting. If there is an apple on a table and nothing is happening to the apple, then it will not move and continue being on the table. However if you toss the apple, then it will continue being in the air until a force, in this case gravity, acts on it. Gravity will make it come to a stop and pull it down to the ground.
After Newton published his book, Hooke accused him of plagiarism. He stated that Newton had stole his work. However, many of the members of the Royal Society knew Newton had done all the work and that he hadn't stolen anything. Newton was furious and threaten to stop the publishing of the book. However, Halley tried making peace with the two men. They came to the conclusion that Newton would add Hooke´s name and give him credit for his
