King Tut was a very young king that was a part of the Egyptian empire. He ascended to the throne in 1333 BC, at the age of nine or ten, taking the throne name Nebkheperure. He ruled for about eight to ten years. He was very rich and had a lot of power. He had a very small menagerie that all of his slaves adored. When he became king, he married his half-sister, Ankhesenpaaten, who later changed her name to Ankhesenamun. They had two daughters and they both died at very young ages. He was not one of the best kings, but he did help to rise other falling cities that were under his rule.

King Tut ended the worship of the god Aten and restored the god Amun for the people of Egypt to worship. King Tut also made the Egyptian slaves build in a different way than they were used to. The dismal conditions in Egypt made it harder for the slaves to work. He changed the way the statues looked. He changed the working hours for the slaves. He even changed his name because the meaning did not go with the god that he worshiped.
During King Tut’s reign battles took place between Egypt and Nubians and Asiatics over territories and control of trade routes. King Tut was trained in the military and he was good at archery, but because of his age, it was conclusive that he did not fight in the military. If an enemy would ever try to kill him or get in their kingdom he had a special way of getting rid of them. King Tut would have one of their leaders or spies killed to try and scare whoever was lurking around his kingdom.
Naïve Egyptians believed in more than one god and thought they would help them through the rough times when it was time to build. Some of them knew God, but they could not say anything because they could be killed. Some said and proclaimed God’s love, but if people found out they were later killed.
