Martin Luther King Jr. died trying to end racism. Even though there still is a little bit of racism in this world Martin Luther King Jr. tried to stop all of it. He died trying to save his country. A lot of people still die today because of racism. “At least 31.7% of African Americans die because of racism in the U.S. Population”. Martin Luther King Jr. died to end racism and all he received was death, Until a couple years after his death people started to realize racism is bad and then it finally stop. African Americans were finally able to do things whites were able to do. They were able to go to the same schools as whites. Drink out of the same water fountain. There was still racism but, it wasn't as bad as it used to be which was also good. He tried to convince people that racism is bad and to work as a team to end racism but african americans still weren't treated right or fair.
