Shakespeare is one of the most well-known play writer that America has ever seen. He has written many plays from 'Antony and Cleopatra' to the tragedy of the Prince of Denmark, 'Hamlet'. His theater was very popular in the nineteenth century. The theater would fill up at each play, it was an amazing place to be from time to time. Shakespeare often wrote about the death, young love, tragedies and comedies, but mostly romance. He wrote about these things based on emotion, his plays are made up of not only emotion but language. Most of the theaters would be shut down form the noise and the people who would come just at yell at the actors. Those parts are not important, the important part in the theaters are; the language, the art, the costumes and the actors. That was all it took to write a play. Yet all was very difficult, even if it looked easy, it was not much but a little difficult at times because there were no actors and no one to make the costumes. It didn't really matter to anyone, as long as it worth the time and the money.
The different things from then and now are there weren't any cameras for filming, nowadays there are movies and places where you can get the movies to watch at home. In plays there were actors that performed in front a crowd or an audience. Before, women were not allowed to act or go out and be part of something. Their job was to stay at home to cook, sew and take care of their families. Now woman have their rights to do things the way they want to, they can argue, they can say whatever they want.
