The 1920’s-1930’s was an exciting time to be alive. Anyone from that era would happily argue that it either brought out the best in people or the worst. It was a time when flapper girls would sway to the jazz music in dance halls or the men would walk home from a hard day's work with a spring in their step. Others remember this period as an era of hardship and starvation because of The Great Depression’s devastating effects on poor families. The 1920’s-1930’s reflected human nature in a time of change in the best way it could for citizens in the United States even if it did not seem so.

The 1920’s era reflected human nature in a good way because it united people together. During this time, Marcus Garvey created the Universal Negro Improvement
