Enlightenments
The Enlightenment was a major part of history. It gives us the rights and freedoms we have today. We have the Enlightenment thinkers to thank for that. There were hundreds if not thousands of thinkers, but six of which we noticed the most by the people. These six Enlightenment thinkers made it all possible and they made it happen. The impacted huge documents that were created and they also impacted our lives greatly. There were grievances that were put into the declaration of independence that help the Enlightenment thinkers come up with more ideas. Grievance 11 states, “ that he (King) has kept among us, in times of peace standing armies without the consent from our legislature”. This is against natural rights and it means the King had armies without getting consent

This idea was influenced by Locke, Voltaire, and Beccaria. This amendment has impacted my life by giving me the right to speak out without getting in trouble by the law and also giving me the right to protest peacefully. Amendment 2 states that “ a well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of the free state, the right or the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed”. This amendment was influenced mostly by Blackstone and Beccaria. Amendment 2 has greatly impacted everyone's life today . It has given us the right to own and secure a gun to protect ourselves. Amendment 3 says, “ No soldier shall, in the time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law. This amendment impacts us today by making it possible for strangers to not live in our home after or during war unless we give consent to the soldiers.
