The Great depression of America effected everyone to one degree or another. People lost everything, their cars, their jobs, homes, property, assets food, everything. It was a very hard time for Americans. People lost their farms too so it destroyed the lives of many people. Overall though African Americans had it off worse because they already had enough trouble trying to find a job as it is and they were being discriminated against.

The great depression however was right on the first sparks of WW2 and within a few years the war turned the United States of America into an economic powerhouse. Men of both colors where being sent over to fight against communism and to defend our country, so the women of the nation had to stand up!
