Yes, the cause conflict hasn't changed because it always been mainly caused by greed, religion, land and internal political conflicts.
During the time of the Roman empire many of the conflict were cause political strife and greed. One of Emperor named Nero caused conflict because of his greed/ selfishness. He took money from the empire and spent it on himself. He selfishly taxed people to fund his golden palace. He didn't think the house he lived in was meant for him. He wanted more. When he got to his golden house he said finally a house fit for a king. This caused his death and many people to hate because he was so selfish, self-absorbed and didn’t care for the people. His death caused a political conflict. Nero was the first emperor to die who wasn't connected to a single bloodline. Alexander the great king of Macedonia went into many countries and fought wars so that he could gain their land and make it part of his Empire.
