Rosemary Letts was born in Northam, Devon on November 29 1953. Rose parents were William Letts and Daisy Fuller. Rosemary’s mother had a difficult pregnancy with rose because she suffered from depression and was given a shock treatment while pregnant with Rosemary. The shock treatment may have had an effect on Rosemary, On the other hand Fredrick West was born September 29, 1941. Fred was born into a poor family of farm workers in Herefordshire. Fred parents were Walter West and Daisy Hill. Fred was the second of six siblings. Rosemary’s childhood was uneasy, her parents split when she was 16 so she lived with her mother Daisy for 6 months, then later she moved with her father William. William was a paranoid schizophrenic he was likely to beat her and repeatedly sexually abused her. When rosemary reached puberty she would walk around the house naked and sometimes even sneak into her little brothers’ room and masturbate him.
Fred’s childhood was disturbed he was the second of six siblings. Fred claimed that his father had sexual relationships with his sisters. Incest was an accepted part of Fred’s household, and his father taught him bestiality at an early age. In November 1958, Fred was involved in a serious crash on his motorcycle. Fred suffered a fractured skull, a broken arm and leg, and he did not recover consciousness for a whole week. After the accident, Fred had sudden fits of rage. Another injury Fred had gotten was a head injury from a fall from a fire escape and was knocked out for 24 hours. Fred was arrested for molesting a 13-year-old girl in 1960. He was convicted, but fled a sentence of imprisonment.
