On March 25, 1911 in Manhattan , NYC the triangle shirtwaist factory fire became the deaths to 146 people. The fire began at on the top floor but upon arrival the firefighters ladders wasn’t tall enough and the employees were unable to go on the fire escape because the owners locked them.
