The 1960’s was a time of questioning authority and what society defined as normal. The hippies of the time were typically known to be dirty and immoral. After years and years of social tension, Woodstock music festival took place and this effected society in many ways. Some thought it was a protest, drugs, or political. However, the biggest effect was that people felt free after the festival. The festival gave people three days to be free, happy, and open with who they were. Although drugs were used and politics were affected by it, none of it was the greatest effect.
