During the 20th century there was a lot of political change and there was a civil war going on. Thomas Hobbes was an english philosopher , scientist and historian that tried to end the bloody war. Thomas Hobbes also created a famous work called Leviathan. That focused on political philosophy. He believed that the form of government was the absolute monarchy. His great influence on political thought was deep and lasting, therefore Thomas Hobbes had a positive effect on the political effects of England by giving up personal freedom to form states. Thomas Hobbes believed that people were selfish to the people and society. So he decided to change things and make that society a little better for everyone.Thomas Hobbes was a man of many travels.
