William Harvey was the first person to correctly describe the blood’s circulation in the body, and that the heart pumps the blood. Before people thought air flowed through their veins, so him discovering this has improved their lives since they know more about how circulation works, and not something from a Greek myth. These are some of his discoveries that helped him find this.

William Harvey was able to find this because he ignored medical books. Before he made his discovery, there were medical books that described a lot of things incorrectly. That’s why people, at the time, believed some these, even though they were wrong. William Harvey actually took his own time to find his own discovery, not looking through incorrect medical books. Additionally, He dissected dead animals

If he never found his discovery, we would’ve still believed that air flows through our body. Now that he did, heʼs improved our circulation since we know how it works, he even helped improve Galenʼs theory since it was wrong. More people should see Williamʼs book ¨De Moto Cordis¨ that explains more about circulation around the body, not Galenʼs. Though Galen wasn’t wrong about everything, it was just misleading at some parts since he wasn’t right when he explained circulation.

This is why your argument is wrong. Firstly, William helped improve Galenʼs theory, helping everyone else. So people now know that it isnʼt air that flows through their veins, or that circulation starts from the center, itʼs blood that flows in one direction while the heart is pumping the blood. Plus, he published his book, which should be worldwide, so that everyone knows what is actually flowing through their veins. Even you know how your circulation works, but youʼre not believing his discovery since people have already been taught how circulation works
