During World War ll, the only way that the U.S. had enough resources for the troops and for the people at the home front was by rationing food and many raw materials such as oil, gasoline, copper, iron, and others. This rationing and major voluntary effort that was made by Americans on the home front created a major contribution towards the final outcome of the war.
World War II had an intense influence on the United States. Even though no battles occurred on the American land, the war affected all phases of the life of the American people.
