Have you watched the movie Beowulf, or even read the epic poem ? Beowulf was a noble and honest man in the poem. Meanwhile in the movie Beowulf lied about petty matters. Beowulf even deceived the citizens into believing he killed Grendel’s Mother ; however , in the poem Beowulf actually killed Grendel’s Mother. Hrothgar was a prestigious king in the poem, but in the movie Hrothgar had an affair with Grendel’s Mother. The literary work Beowulf is depicted in different ways. The movie and textbook version of Beowulf had various differences although the movie was plagued with corruption such as affairs, lies, and deceit. This significant flaw resulted in Beowulf conceiving a child with Grendel Mother in the movie. Beowulf was unable to provide proof of killing Grendel’s Mother in the movie; however , in the poem he brought Grendel’s Mother head back to the Danish people to celebrate his victory. Since Beowulf did not slay Grendel’s Mother , in the movie she continued to terrorize the kingdom by having her son attack the citizens. As a result of Beowulf killing Grendel's Mother , in the poem the kingdom was saved from terror. The phenomenal result of this flaw is Beowulf was killed by a dragon protecting its treasure in the poem, but in the movie Beowulf died while killing his own son. All in all, the movie and textbook version of Beowulf had various differences although the movie was plagued with corruption such as affairs, lies, and deceit. Hrothgar and Beowulf had an affair with Grendel’s Mother in the movie. They both conceived a child with Grendel Mother in the movie. Beowulf was a liar in the movie ; however, in the movie he was an honest warrior.
