In The Divine Comedy, Dante references Cleopatra who was the queen of Egypt. She started off young in the kingdom along with her father who was a pharaoh. She was very educated and sophisticated while helping rule over Egypt. She was most known for her relationships with the two most powerful men in ancient Rome. These two men were Julius Caesar and Mark Antony. The both transformed the roman republic which is what made them a couple of the most famous Roman leaders.
