How Does Curley's Wife Show Sympathy

Literally speaking, sympathy means feeling with others. It is the tendency of sharing emotions with others. It works so quickly that it may be termed as unconscious tendency. Sympathy is thus feeling as others feel in the absence of logically adequate grounds for feeling in that manner. When a mother sees her son injured, she instantaneously feels hurt. When a child cries in distress, his other companions at once share his feeling. I believe that Lennie is the most sympathetic from Of Mice and Men because he has a mental disability and no one shows him any kind of love except only George.

According, Lennie has a mental disability problem and he can’t do anything by himself without any help. It is obvious in the story Lennie has a mental disability by the way he speaks, as he has a definite speech impediment. Lennie is nice Guy but he isn’t that kind of bright. He finds it hard to follow simple instructions and cannot defend himself in situations. His lack of common sense and panic attacks is lethal, but George must stay with him because he understands that Lennie cannot survive by himself and he also can't imagine

She has no one to talk to, no future, no respect from her own husband, and no one even knows her real name. I have found that I am most sympathetic towards her, because all she wants is someone to talk to, to communicate with, but the way she tries to talk to others is by flaunting herself to the men just to get noticed. This only increases her reputation as a flirt, which forces the men to stay away from her.
