In the memoir Night, Elie Wiesel uses eyes to show how much the characters have gone through. This is shown with Moishe the Beadle, Madame Schachter, and Eliezer himself. Their eyes are pointed out in very specific ways to show how they are feeling.
Moshie the Beadle was a person who was poor but was always happy. He has wide dreamy eyes at this point. He had hope and wasn’t worried about what was going on with the Nazi’s. He got taken away by the german Nazi’s but escaped to come back to warn the town, but one one would listen.
