In William Shakespear Hamlet, Hamlet the main character goes through many obstacles that he begins to lose his mind. One of the deaths in the play is when the King, Hamlet’s father, dies. Not only is that a big tragedy in his life but Hamlet is also lovesick. These changes in Hamlet’s life not only have an effect on him but also on the other characters. Hamlet’s tragedy is so bad that his insanity leads him to his death.Hamlet is a tragedy in so many deaths and how his mind is set up. Hamlet’s father was poisoned by his own brother which caused hamlet to have hate towards his uncle. Not only does his father’s death have an impact in his life but also the fact that his own uncle married his mother. While the King is being buried Hamlet and his uncle have a talk ,King Claudius tells Hamlet “though yet of hamlet our dear brother’s death the memory be green,and that it us befitted to bear the grief ,and our whole kingdom (1.2.1-7).” King Claudius is not only referring to his brother’s death but also the kingdom that the King has left behind. He also is self- centered he wants the kingdom to forget about King Hamlet.
Before the King dies the characters Hamlet, Claudius and the Queen are together. Hamlet kills Polonius the father of Laertes and Ophelia.
