Animal Farm Comparison Essay It's surprising that a book about talking animals can represent Russia's revolution. Animal Farm the allegory by George Orwell represents the Russian revolution because the characters and events are very similar. For example the former leader of animal farm represents Czar Nicholas II or how Napoleon represents Joseph Stalin. There are many more metaphorical ways that the that the book represents the Russian revolution. The events in animal farm were very similar to those during the Russian revolution. In both cases citizens were starving. For example in Animal Farm farmer Jones would be drunk constantly and forgot to feed the animals. Both of these men slowly rose to power. For example Napoleon in Animal Farm got rid of snowball by arguing against him and then after a while got rid of him. This is similar to Joseph Stalin because he also went against his leaders and after a while he eliminated his leaders. Another way they were similar is they were both very cruel. Napoleon was very cruel to the other animals at the farm such as changing rules so they couldn't do what they wanted. Likewise Joseph Stalin treated his people cruelly by taking away rights such a as speaking against himself. Both also changed their civilizations for the worse. Napoleon made it to where rations were tiny and the other animals couldn't do anything they wanted to. In the same way Joseph Stalin kept his people starving and took away many of the rights that the people were happy with. The book Animal Farm Accurately represents the Russian revolution in a metaphorical way. George Orwell made animal farm into the Russian revolution by including a lot of events and people that resembled one another. Napoleon represents Stalin in all their cruel ways. Mr.Jones represents Czar Nicholas II with all of their negligence. It's just really surprising that a book about talking animals can represent an important event that shaped many lives in
