After reading the Play Macbeth I came to understand how the main character is driven to insanity. The main character is driven into insanity in many different ways, but the main way is Power. The main theme for the play is Power and Madness. While Ambition and Fate can be a cause to Macbeth’s insanity. Can desire for Power lead to insanity? Knowing that one can obtain power makes one desire or gain it at any cost. Power leads Macbeth in the wrong direction and his desire for power costs him more than he thought it would.
