Almost a quarter of Australians were born overseas, and four million Australians are able to speak a language other than English. This shows how multi cultural Australia has become. Because of this, Australia's food is very diverse and many cultures can be seen throughout our food. Australia is so multicultural as a result of the British discovering us and moving to Australia, refugees seeking for a better life outside of war and immigrants. In australia, there are many different cultures, mainly including, the western culture, Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and other Oceanian people. The food in australia is one of the main things that have been affected by multiculturalism. You can find foods from Mexico all around Australia, especially on the streets, in the markets and in family celebrations.
