How Does Squealer Portrayed In Animal Farm

In George Orwell’s book Animal Farm , Squealer is a spitting image of propaganda. Three ways that they are similar is that they are manipulative, terrorising , dishonest. An example that shows that Squealer and propaganda are similar is that their manipulative. In Animal Farm by George Orwell, the author writes about how Squealer is crafty with what he says. “ He was brilliant talker, and when he was arguing some difficult point he had a way of skipping from side to side and whisking his tail which was somehow very persuasive” (36). In the quote the author tries to explain to the reader how persuasive Squealer is with his words. This also shows how intelligent the animals are in comparison to the pigs. “ The other said of Squealer that he could turn black into white”(36). And this shows that Squealer has the capacity to outsmart the animals. And this becomes useful to him later on the book when he's in trouble and when he lies to his fellow comrades.
Another example that shows Squealer and propaganda are similar is that they're both dis honest. “ One example from George Orwell's book animal Farm, is when the pigs eat all the apples and milk for no apparent reason and they tell the animals all one big lie. “‘Comrades!’ He cried. ‘You do not imagine, I hope, that we pigs are doing this in spite of selfishness and privilege? Many of us actually dislike milk and apples I dislike myself. Our soul objective and taking these things is to preserve our health. Milk and apples contain substance absolutely necessary to the well-being of a pig”(52).
