Stanley Yelnats is arrested for a crime he did not commit, and is sent to Camp Green Lake, a juvenile detention facility. Children dig holes in a deserted hot place, and the facility is run by a greedy woman. Stanley and his friend soon discovers a treasure and a secret story lying in the place, and fights for freedom. In the text Holes, the character represents the theme of controlment. The scary owner of the Camp Green Lake, Warden tries to control children and the workers in the Camp for her own secret greed. This character relates to my theme as the people around her is suffering from her aggressively suppression and commands.
