The bombing of Hiroshima occurred on August 6, 1945 during WWII in the Japanese city, Hiroshima. Three days later, another bomb was dropped on the city of Nagasaki. The estimated number of people killed or wounded in Hiroshima is around 150,000 and 75,000 in Nagasaki(children of the atomic bomb page 1). Although the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki resulted in many casualties, ultimately the bombings were justified because Japan was going to invade the United States and we were running out of supplies, people and bullets.

The policeman that survived the bombing of Hiroshima went to Nagasaki to teach them the duck and cover method. This method kept all the policemen in Nagasaki alive.
