Plot: Jurassic World is a highly successful theme park, but they must invent new attractions to satisfy investors. The company unanimously agreed on intermingling the genes of a variety of different species, to create a highly intelligent monster that no-one has ever seen before. But when things go terribly wrong, Claire and Owen must work together to evacuate tourists, and most importantly find Claire’s missing nephews.
If you’ve seen one Jurassic movie, you’ve seen all of them. Once again, entrepreneurs haven’t learnt their lesson of exercising caution around prehistoric dinosaurs, and risked everything to create a creature beyond their control for profit. Once again, females are placed in an Adam and Eve situation, where they are portrayed as weak, stupid and in need of looking after. It honestly boggles my mind to think how a successful woman like Claire could display the stupidity of yelling and calling attention to herself, when a monstrous dinosaur is on the loose, right on her tail. Owen is obviously the macho, Indiana Jones type of guy, the guy who’s got the knowhow, and is the guy to call if you want something fixed. Placing Claire and Owen together really contrast the differences, and that’s what make the film sometimes funny. The two shared romantic interests, but their disagreement with work ruined their moment and things were not progressing – until there was mayhem. Their romantic stories takes a very predictable flow, and it’s not the film’s best feature to focus on. In fact, their romantic stories only weaken the plot. It feels unnecessary, but the humorous aspect of their relationship is effective in acting as a hiatus and giving the audience a break from the suspense. But sometimes, it feels very forced and unnatural. One particularly cringe worthy moment was when everyone is hysterically running away from the large flying carnivorous dinosaurs who are indiscriminately feeding on anyone, and they just stand there, in middle of it all…kissing! You can definitely see the difference, but it at least has improved since the first and second movie. In terms of animals, the film ‘Planet of The Apes’ looks more realistic. But, the credit has to go to ‘Jurassic World’ for the overall look of the graphics, though not as great as ‘Avatar’ (the one with blue people), which displayed the best graphics ever seen. Although, if you watch the blue ray version of Jurassic World with a good TV, you can still expect to have fun watching the movie. It’s difficult to compare Avatar with Jurassic World, as Avatar was fundamentally meant to be colourful and aesthetically pleasing, where as Jurassic World consists mostly of Jungles, just a lot of leaves, mud and tree stumps. If you’re after something that will give your eyes an orgasm, you may leave
