In Shakespeare play, he presents that women want more power over men. In Emily Bronte’s Wuthering Heights she represents Heathcliff and Catherine’s selfhood.
Should women have power over men? Women should not have power over men but in Macbeth, women have a lot of power over men. Lady Macbeth is very strong minded over her husband. She influences him to kill King Duncan. "Nothing in his life became him like the leaving it; he died as one that had been studied in his death to throw away the dearest thing he owed, as’t were a careless trifle."

Macbeth is haunted by his actions and starts to go crazy losing his mind. Macbeth tends to show a lot of emotion throughout the play. Macbeth is smart at first when he kills several men and the king. Showing emotion would not be something a man in that time period would do. Shakespeare is trying to change the roles between males and females.
Linton is a calm guy and is not much a fighter. He is the one for Catherine and he has the courage to live with her and demons. Linton has to deal with Catherine just like Macbeth had to deal with Lady Macbeth. “He's more myself than I am. Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same.”
The three witches and Hecate the head of the witches gives Macbeth just enough information so that his ideas are good and together. The women have power over the main character. Macbeth destroys himself with the help of the witches.
