The Lion King is one of the most famous Disney animated movies of all time. The Lion King made a lot of money, but rather than talk about the money it made; the movie has a Hero’s quest. The Hero in the movie is Simba and the antagonist is his uncle Scar. Simba is an epic hero because he was brave, he showed courage, and he was fierce.
Simba was very brave at the end of the movie because he had to go back to his kingdom and fight his uncle who had killed his father. This was very hard for Simba to do because he was scared to go back to where he once lived because he had gotten used to living in a new place. He was pushed to go back with the help of Timone and Pumba. Simba went back and faced his fear of going home and this showed the viewer that Simba was very brave.…show more content… He was stood up for the people that he was supposed to rule over. His people needed protection and Simba gave it to them. While protecting his people Simba showed that he had the courage to help his people.
He was also Fierce when it came to fighting his Uncle Scar. He went to fight his uncle Scar and found out that his uncle had killed his father, and beat his uncle in a very close fight. Simba did not help his uncle after he beat him; “his uncle was devoured by Hyenas who once followed scar.” Simba is one of the most fierce lions in the entire movie.
This movie is epic because of the Journey that Simba went on. Simba is an epic hero because he had a lot of similar traits that an epic hero is supposed to have. These trait allowed Simba to prosper as a hero. The Lion King is one of the best epic movies
