There have been many creation stories told to people all over the world. There are over 100 creation stories. In “How the World was Made” by, James Mooney, and in “The Creation and Fall of Man, from Genesis” from, the KING JAMES BIBLE, the author’s talk about the many creation stories told by people. There are many similarities in the passages “The Creation and Fall of Man, from Genesis” and, “How the World was Made”. The first similarity is when the K.J.V. states, “Thus the heavens and the earth were finished.” This is confirming that the earth was finished and that he was building the earth to a specific point. (earth foundation was complete). The second similarity is when James Mooney states, “the bird bearing the sprits of all the orishas. Like a storm, they blew the sand to make dunes and hills and lowlands, giving it character just as the orishas themselves have character.” This is confirming the Birds instant mounting and doon making was similar to GOD instantly making the earth.( obviously, the bird did not …show more content…
The first difference is when The K.J.V states,”And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.” This confirms that God is the almighty ruler and he built the earth by himself with all his greatness, opposed to the other story where there were different animals that created the earth. The second difference is when James Mooney states, “The earth is a great island floating in a sea of water, and suspended at each of the four cardinal points by a cord hanging down from the sky vault, which is of solid rock.“ This confirms that this is totally different from God making the earth, naturally have everything it needs to obtain life formed.
