The Crucible was written by Author Miller during the 1692 about the witch trials when 200 people were accused, 20 people were executed, 19 people were hanged and 1 person was crushed. This all started with one girl and that was Abigail William’s. The magistrate within The Crucible abuse’s their power by believing only the children, refusing to admit that they are wrong, and looking for only a confession. Anyone who is being accused is because the court is only believing the children. When the accusation’s start is was after Abigail and her friends were in the wood’s partaking in witchcraft so instead of finding out what really happen that night Abigail accused Tituba for their wrong doing. “She sends her spirit on me in church; she makes me laugh at prayer! She comes to me every night to go and drink blood!” (Miller 44). Abigail accused Tituba for making her “worship” the devil but Abigail did it herself and for her not to get in trouble she took the easy way out by accusing Tituba.
