Parramatta
Parramatta is a suburb of Sydney, Australia. It was established by the British in 1788. It is a centre of business, and the centre of transport in Western Sydney. Parramatta is the oldest city in Australia. It consists of many important historical buildings and places such as Cumberland Hospital Museum, Harris Park Heritage Walk, and it is the home of education, and has many schools as Arthur Phillip High School, which was built in 1960. Parramatta has many celebrations, and events, such as January Sydney Festival, and Australia Day, November Christmas in Parramatta. The city also has many churches such as St John's Cathedral, St Patrick’s Cathedral, St John. The weather in Parramatta is semi tropical and wet. …show more content…
Furthermore Parramatta famous school is Arthur Phillip High School, that was set up in 1960, as well as Lady of Mercy College, the first Catholic school in Australia. Parramatta also has a lot of higher education facilities such as University of western Sydney, UWS Parramatta Campus.
